SENIOR CONTRACTS ADVISOR (Bids and Proposals) – Oil/Gas/Petrochem - Saudi Arabia

Our Client is a well-known contracting company operating throughout Saudi Arabia from an Eastern Province base.

Established for over 50 years, they have a number of key operating divisions predominantly serving the petrochemicals and oil and gas industries making them one of the leading integrated industrial service providers in Saudi Arabia.

They have an urgent requirement for a Senior Contracts Advisor to work at the bid stage on a number of contracts and proposals, including shut-downs, general maintenance, tank repairs as well as the maintenance of rotating equipment.

The successful candidate must demonstrate at least ten years intensive experience together with a detailed understanding of EPC contracts, sub-contracts and supply contracts and must also be capable of preparing project risk reviews and reports.

A good understanding of joint venture arrangements and also integrated JVs is demanded including the ability to prepare memorandums of understanding combined with the ability to negotiate complex JV arrangements to ensure a successful conclusion is reached.

Previous international experience is essential including some time spent in the Middle East and ideally including a spell in Saudi Arabia.  Although direct experience with EPC contractors would be a definite advantage, a good general contracting background gained with one of the leading name international contractors combined with a formal Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying would also be appropriate.

The package offered is first class and includes an above average basic salary, a generous accommodation allowance, fully services company vehicle and an attractive leave entitlement.  In addition there is an attractive bonus scheme based on an individual’s personal performance, the performance of the Division and also the overall company performance.  This can equate to three to four month’s salary per annum.

The position is offered on a married or bachelor basis and company policy permits individuals to reside in Bahrain, provided this does not affect their ability to perform their duties in a timely, effective and responsible manner.
